NORPAC/HUVPAC backing Garrett?

It seems that in order to drain it's bank account to facilitate it's merger with NORPAC (one of the more powerful pro-Israel lobby groups out there), the Hudson Valley Political Action Committee (HUVPAC) is going to be throwing an event for Representative Scott Garrett.

From the Jewish Standard:
The group hopes to hold an event for Rep. Scott Garrett (R-N.J.) and may hold others for Reps. Elliott Engel (D-N.Y.) and Nita Lowey (D-N.Y.).

And then, he said, "We hope to be an active part of NORPAC, a thriving, very successful, wonderful PAC…. We are hoping to be known as the HUVPAC division of NORPAC.
I can't imagine that it would be a positive for Rabbi Dennis Shulman to have such an influential group say Garrett would be better for Israel than he would.

That's bad news for Shulman right there. It's the equivalent of the Right-To-Life committee backing the opponent of a pastor.
