Garrett Votes To Reign In Contractors
In a good move, Representative Scott Garrett voted today to close the immunity loophole contractors operating in Iraq had. As noted in several places, nobody really knew how to deal with contractors when they broke the law. They're immune from prosecution in Iraq, and nobody here seemed to want them. Garrett voted with the vast majority of Congress to close the loophole and make contractors subject to US law. This is a very good thing.
