Garrett Stimulates

I was actually surprised by this. Considering Representative Scott Garrett's comments regarding the rebates and his noticeable displeasure when the President was talking about boosting workers; Garrett's vote for the bi-partisan stimulus package was unforeseen. I'm all for giving credit where credit is due, and Garrett made the right call on this vote on our behalf.

I think Garrett voted for this because this is the initial package that was hammered out between Pelosi, Reid, Paulson, Bush, etal, that included the tax breaks for businesses. Once the stimulus package is revised by the Senate to include money for the elderly on SS, extending unemployment bennies, etc., we'll see Garrett flop over to the nay side.

Just my .02

Sadly, you're probably right. We'll have to see.
